Summer Peace Fellows
The Summer Peace Fellow position is offered to a few conflict resolution specialists each year in recognition of their continued outstanding achievement and work for the Public International Law & Policy Group (PILPG). Summer Peace Fellows are given a great deal of independence to run the teams or projects they work on for PILPG. Biographies of the current Summer Peace Fellows follow.
Julie Rieper is a Senior Research Associate and Summer Peace Fellow for the Public International Law & Policy Group. She is currently assisting in preparations for scenario planning exercises on Sri Lanka, and has worked on constitutional issues and issues pertaining to final status for Kosovo. Ms. Rieper also has a background in North Korea and weapons proliferation.
Brett Ashley Edwards is a Senior Research Associate and a Summer Peace Fellow with the Public International Law and Policy Group. Since joining PILPG, she has worked on the Anuak, Armenia, and Burma projects. Ms. Edwards' work with PILPG primarily focuses on conflict resolution and regional autonomy issues in the Republic of Georgia and South Sudan.
