American Society of International Law (ASIL)

The
American Society of International Law (ASIL) is a
nonprofit, nonpartisan, educational organization that
fosters the study of international law and promotes the
establishment and maintenance of international relations
on the basis of law and justice. ASIL and PILPG have
co-sponsored a number of conferences and roundtables on
the relationship between international law and policy
over the past ten years. |
Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
 |
The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace is a
private, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing
cooperation between nations and promoting active
international engagement by the United States. PILPG
operated under the auspices of the Carnegie Endowment
from 1996-1998, and PILPG and Carnegie have collaborated
on a number of peace building projects. |
The
Carter Center
 |
Through monitoring and
analyzing many of the world’s armed conflicts, the Carter
Center’s Conflict Resolution Program focuses on preventing,
resolving, and ending armed conflict, as well as post-conflict
peacebuilding.

Frederick K. Cox International Law Center
 |
One of nation’s most ambitious and comprehensive
international law programs, the Frederick K. Cox International
Law Center explores critical issues in international justice and
global legal reform with emphasis on experiential learning and
public service. Under the direction of PILPG Managing Director
and Case Western Law Professor Michael Scharf, PILPG and the Cox
Center collaborate frequently on issues of transitional justice
and war crimes prosecution. |
The
Dayton Peace Accords Project
|
The Dayton Peace Accords Project provides assistance to the
Western Balkans in developing practical solutions to issues of
constitutional development, institution building, economic
development, and cultural and ethnic heritage through the
provision of technical, legal, and advocacy assistance. PILPG
has worked closely with the Dayton Peace Accords Project to
provide pro bono legal assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s
constitutional reform process, Montenegro’s independence
referendum, and Kosovo’s transition to independence.

Fund
for Peace
 |
In a fragile international system, the Fund for Peace seeks
to correct the conditions that threaten human survival through
scholarship and active civic education. PILPG and the Fund for
Peace collaborate on matters relating to the relationship
between sovereignty and peace building. |
International Bar Association (IBA)
 |
The International Bar Association (IBA) is the world’s
leading organization of international legal practitioners, bar
associations, and law societies. The IBA seeks to influence the
development of international law reform and to shape the future
of the legal profession throughout the world. Under the
leadership of the IBA, PILPG and a select group of organizations
participated in the creation of the International Legal
Assistance Consortium. |
International Crisis Group (ICG)
 |
The International Crisis Group (ICG) is the world’s leading
independent, non-partisan source of analysis and advice to
governments and intergovernmental bodies like the United
Nations, European Union, and World Bank, on the prevention and
resolution of deadly conflict. PILPG and the ICG have
co-authored several publications relating to the Balkans, and
ICG experts regularly participate in PILPG scenario planning
events and negotiation simulations. |
International Legal Assistance Consortium (ILAC)
 |
The International Legal Assistance Consortium (ILAC) is a
consortium of more than thirty NGOs throughout the world with
experience in providing technical legal assistance in
post-conflict situations. PILPG worked closely with the
International Bar Association to create ILAC and remains an
active member.

International Network to Promote the Rule of Law (INPROL)

An internet-based knowledge network, the International
Network to Promote the Rule of Law (INPROL) aims to assist
international rule of law specialists in their efforts to
prevent conflict and stabilize war-torn societies. PILPG, a
founding member, works closely with INPROL to strengthen its
network of specialists and practitioners. |
Our
Voice! Consulting
| Our Voice! consultants specialize in working with emerging
and start-up businesses and non-profit organizations to develop
and refine their financial and growth strategies. Since 2003,
Our Voice! has worked extensively with PILPG. |
Save
Darfur
 |
Save Darfur is an alliance of over 180 faith-based,
advocacy, and humanitarian organizations representing people of
all ages, races, religions and political affiliations united
together to help the people of Darfur. PILPG has worked closely
with Save Darfur in addressing issues pertaining to peace
negotiations and human rights protection in Darfur. |
Strategic Assessments International (SAI)
|
Strategic Assessments International (SAI) seeks to bridge
the gap between conflict management – as embodied in
humanitarian assistance, development work, and peace operations
– and conflict resolution, which demands a greater investment of
political will, through innovative programs that link
on-the-ground practicalities with the broader political concerns
of the major stakeholders. SAI President and PILPG Senior Peace
Fellow Amjad Atallah was instrumental in developing PILPG’s
scenario planning program.

Survivor Corps
 |
Survivor Corps is a global network of people dedicated to
overcoming the effects of war and violence. Survivor Corps
focuses on providing tools and support to survivors to help them
overcome their injuries and give back to their communities.
PILPG has partnered with Survivor Corps in providing pro bono
legal assistance to post-conflict states.

United States Institute of Peace (USIP)

The United States Institute of Peace (USIP) is an
independent, nonpartisan, national institution established and
funded by the United States Congress to help prevent and resolve
violent international conflicts, promote post-conflict stability
and development, and increase conflict management capacity,
tools, and intellectual capital worldwide. USIP and PILPG
frequently collaborate on matters relating to the Balkans, Iraq,
and Sudan. |
Vanderbilt University International Law Practice Lab
 |
Vanderbilt University’s International Law Practice Lab
emphasizes experiential learning on cutting-edge questions in
international law, representing a range of clients, from
international organizations to foreign governments facing
difficult questions of international law to branches of the
United States government. Under the leadership of PILPG
Affiliated Expert and Vanderbilt Law Professor Michael Newton,
PILPG has collaborated with the International Law Practice Lab
in providing pro bono legal assistance to a number of PILPG’s
pro bono clients. |
American University Washington College of Law
 |
One of the top U.S. law schools for international law,
American University’s Washington College of Law offers an
extensive international law curriculum led by leaders and
practitioners in the field. Under the leadership of PILPG
Managing Director Paul Williams, PILPG has collaborated
extensively with the Washington College of Law and with American
University’s School of International Service in providing pro
bono legal assistance to PILPG clients. |
Women for Women International
 |
Women for Women International seeks to address immediate and
long-term needs of women, particularly survivors of conflict,
and to improve the status and opportunities available to women
to create a more just and peaceful world. PILPG, Women for Women
International, and American University co-authored Women for
Women International’s “2007 Kosovo Report: Amplifying the Voices
of Women in Kosovo,” which surveyed women’s priorities and
positions on Kosovo’s key political issues.
